Gardo Morris is a small family-run boutique New Zealand Winery. We are a bit unique as we are a husband and wife team working together with a passion to create elegant handcrafted wines. This is not so unique in itself but the fact that we are doing this living most of the year in Sweden is. When you come from opposite parts of the world you have to meet in the middle somehow, which we have done by living in Sweden but still going back to NZ for vintage each year for four months in addition to regular trips back during the year for blending and bottling etc.
Our aim is  to create exceptional single vineyard wines from  New Zealand’s finest winegrowing regions. These wines are made to complement food and reflect flavours of the vineyard site and grape variety. We believe that by working with small vineyard areas we are able to pick the very best fruit and with gentle treatment in the winery turn this into unique hand-crafted wines. Benjamin studied his Master of Applied Science (Oenology) at Lincoln University in New Zealand where he specialised in research on producing organic wines without the addition of  preservatives. “Creating our wines with minimal vineyard sprays and additives is very important to us as it helps us  produce pure clean wines and has the added benefit of sustaining a healthy environment.”
Gardo Morris is delivering wines to some of Sweden’s finest restaurants with the aim to compliment Sweden’s local specialties. We are also working towards having our wines available at Systembolaget - we will keep you updated as to how this goes...!
